What's the best way to reinstall VS Pro X5 and retain the old settings? I do have a library backup.

Hi
First why do you need to un install?
As you say there is the option to export the library which can then be used after installation.
If the library is corrupt then................?
What other old settings do you wish to retain?
Un-install the program from the Control Panel Program and Features.
You will be given the option to remove personal details/settings.
I usually remove everything, but have to say that my project files and video files are on a separate drive.
I re-installed yesterday..........All files here remained in tact
C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor\My Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\15.0
If you are unsure, back up your files.
