Hi Alex

Can you give more details, you describe your problem but can you give details regarding your video file.
Right click the clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they?

If you are working with HD types then you may need to enable Smart Proxy from the Settings Menu, top left. This should allow the timeline be smoother during playback, especially when using a slow PC.
--------------------
Smart Render on the other hand is associated with the creation/render of your project.

How long are the Titles, very long titles may have problems with playback.
What other types of clips are you using in the timelines.

I have to say that after creating the video file the video should play ok.

Finally what are you trying to make , maybe a video for the internet ????????

The video is for youtube.I converted the original parts of the movie from VIDEO_TS to AVI,but i was forced to covert in WMV because CVS x4 didn't let me to import but the other editors too.And i binded 2 parts from the movie(3 min one),after, i added 15-20 texts(3 seconds each) and here the problem appear.I tried to export in WMV,AVI and HDV but still lagging.I maked the clip with other video editor with the same text and exported in HD (1920x1080) and worked very good.

Hi

I would suspect the problem is related to the conversion you have made.
AVI is just a container it does not tell us what compression has been used, there are about 800 different types of AVI.
Converting it again is not gonna help

The Video TS folder contains VOB files these are Mpeg2 type files. having a frame size 720 x 576 (720 x 480) They may however be 16:9 widescreen.

Is the disc copyright protected? if so then VS will not import.
What problems did you have. How did you try to import the disc

Copy the VOB files to your hard drive, rename the Vob files to use the extension MPG

Insert to VS timeline
