Re: Problem creating a DVD from HD FILE
It just happens that yesterday I converted a HD file to DVD, and it went well. The DVD also fills my entire HDTV screen. What I always do, though, is first convert the HD file to an SD DVD (mpeg-2) file. If the project is under one hour in length, then use the full default 8000 kbps as the bitrate, and of course make sure it is set to 16:9 and Upper Frame First.
Once I have the new file, I then go to the burning module and insert it there manually. I first close the project in the editing module to make sure the project file -- as opposed to the new mpeg-2 file -- is NOT inserted in the burning module. Then I check to make sure that in the Options icon in the bottom left of the burning screen the box beside "Do not convert compliant MPEG files" is ticked. I then build a menu if I want one (yesterday, I didn't), and then burn.
