Dealing with [Interlacing + Size Optimization] saving PNG

Hi,

When saving PNG image, PSP provides the options [Interlacing => Interlaced or Noninterlaced] + [File Size Optimization=> Optimized Pallete or Nonoptimized Pallete].

Considering the use of the image to illustrate Word or PowerPoint, or even to print the PNG image, what should be the impact of these selectable options? What is the setting to achieve the best image quality?
