VS Pro 3 will not Open

I had been using the program but stopped for about a week. When I tried to go back into it again, all that would come up would be the introduction or the announcement to the program. I waited and waited and it just stayed fixed on the screen. I had to do a hard shut down to get it off the screen. I tried several more times and the same thing would happen each time. So i decided to uninstall the program and then reinstall it. No change, the same thing happened. Does anyone have any ideas to what I can try next. i even tried to open the program by opening one of the saved movies

When you do an uninstall using the windows option it does not completely remove all files from your computer - try doing a full manual uninstall following the procedure given here then try re-installing :-
