Dual Monitor... really... Disappointed

Post by Nerd3D »

I dunno if anybody from Corel actually reads this forum but seriously claiming that "Dual Monitor" support is a "new" feature borders on false advertising. I had hoped that finally I could get a work space the vaguely resembled the greatness that was PSP 9 and 10. Another failure. Admittedly they got the message that some of us don't want to constantly switch work-spaces just to browse images ... Almost. Except some genius decided that since he never used the thumb nail view than nobody else should be allowed to either. A swing and a miss, Steeeerike 3. Guys you are 0 and 4. You might want to bring your game for PSP15.

Look guys I just want to browse my images. Why would I rate my own images? Really? "Oh look all my pictures are 5 stars, I must be great!" I don't need you to search my whole computer for pictures. This will come as a shock to you but some of us actually know where we put our pictures. Really.

I'm going to attach an image of my PSP10 (that's right 4 versions ago) DUAL MONITOR (that's not a new feature) layout. That's the way I want to work. It's fast easy and I don't have to constantly switch back n' forth between work-spaces.

Two more things... 64 bit's already! Some of us have cameras that shoot 18 Mpx. I'd like to open more than 2 or 3 of these sometimes.

And 32 bit depth for all tools not just 1 or 2. I have this fantastic 32bit image but! If I need to touch any thing I have to throw away 3/4 of the data. SAD.

All the rest is just candy coating and toys. C'mon Corel bring it!

Dual monitor in PSP 10. Maybe if you try you can get back to this level of greatness.

Spot on feedback. PSP workspaces were all superior to PSP X3 and sounds like X4 too. Suspect I ownt be upgrading yet..

Absolutely spot on. Dual monitor is near useless in X4 unless you float palettes over to the second monitor. Switching workspaces is a pain. I don't know when it happened but I can't even use the Manage workspace anymore, and honestly I do not miss it. 64 bit PROGRAM, not just something that works on a 64 bit OS (that was silly when X3 claimed it took advantage of faster computers and multi-processors and it was in fact slower than my PSP X on the same computer). Higher bit depth to all tools (however you want to word it, 16 bit, 48 bit, however you look at it, you know what it is Corel).
