I've used Bibble 5 and as soon as ASP became available I upgraded to ASP. I've had ASP almost from day one. Now every time I start up ASP I'm being asked to register it.
What has happened or changed to suddenly get this message?

Just follow the dialog once ("Register now") and cancel the process in the next step. This should make the annoying "register me" thingy history. It's a Corel habit to display "register me" screens without a "no thank you" option ...
