This crop shows a dithering (or noise). Left: Bibble5, middle: AfterShotPro, right: GPicView I uploaded the original (out of the Sony A500) jpeg to surveymonkey as well.JPG displayed in AfterShotPro (Linux) differs from the same JPG displayed in anything else (Bibble5, GIMP, various viewers).
1. opened JPG in AfterShotPro with default settings
2. noticed a blotchy green noise in some areas
3. checked the same JPG in Bibble5 (was ok), then in the the GIMP (was ok), then in several other viewers (also ok)
4. closed ASP and the other SW, cleared ASP and B5 caches and tried again with the same result
NOTE: I have the option Preferences | Color Management | Monitor Profile | System Default checked, in both ASP and B5
Have anybody else encountered anything similar? I would not care about displaying jpegs in ASP, but I have problems with the same (i.e. dark green) areas when converting raw files.
I also tried to set monitor profile in B5, ASP and GIMP to /opt/AfterShotPro/supportfiles/Profiles/DeafaultMonitor.icm, then to sRGB Color Space Profile.icm - with the same result.
I run ASP on Linux Fedora 12 machine. It seems to work correctly in Windows 7. Briefly tried there and both ASP and IrfanView displayed the original jpeg more or less the same way.
