PSP X3 and Bamboo tablet

Hello,

Can I use a Bamboo graphical tablet for input so I can use handwriting text in PSP ?
If so, how can I do that ?

Not sure if you are talking about the same model i have, but i have been using a Bamboo fun tablet. Nothing special about it. If your tablet is plugged in and reacts when you use the pen, it will do just like a mouse. Notice that if you are using brushes, it might automatically set the brush variance size to Pressure (just something i didn't realize initially).

IM talking of Bamboo Pen & touch special Edition on a Win7 Home premium 64 bit.
And I don't see the pen tablet where I can enter text when using the pen.
Also the pen works on a small area instead of the whole area.

Maybe it is a setting for your particular tablet. Are you able to use the tablet as you wish in other applications, like Word?

I tested it at Paint and it works well. Except on "invoegen" does nothing.
On Libre Office everything works well.

So your goal is to handwrite with the tablet and output it as TEXT in PSP? As far as i know, i dont think it is possible, however, i hope i am wrong.

Initially, i thought you just wanted to handdraw like with a brush, but not to output it as a TEXT, but just as a doodle. Sorry for misleading you.

I think that your options are then the following:
- find a handwritting looking font (there are quite a few)
- use your tablet to create an image (using the brush tool) and using that instead of actual text (afterall the viewer wont know the difference)

You can use your tablet to create the hand written text. You can use the Pen tool of PSP then just set it to DRAW FREE HAND. Of course you also need to adjust the different settings like Style, Width and what not to achieve a certain kind of effect on your text. Of course the hand-written text that you will be making will be considered as images and not as "text".

In any case, I recommend that you download the trial version to test out your bamboo tablet... risk and guilt free!

The Bamboo Pen works just fine with PSPx4. Go to your Bamboo set up and adjust the pressure and sensitivity settings. Then in PSPx4 go to Palettes then Brush Variance. Set them all to Normal. You should see lurking around the edge of PSPx4 a pullout for your Bamboo. If not go back to you Bamboo settings and reset it. (I close it due to the fact it can popout at the wrong time). This will give you a basis to make changes as you learn your Bamboo.

Do you not have the problem that only a portion of the screen can be used ?

I'm not so sure that the screen area is a Bamboo problem. Maybe it has something to do with resolution!

I use my Bamboo on my travel laptop with a 15.5 screen. Then simply plug it into my desk top with a 24 inch screen when I get home. No issues with using the entire screen.

it looks like to me it's a pen problem but I will do a little more investigation.
