VSP X3 crashing

I'm using this program to edit some video clips from camera. Crash........
Here's what I've done.....................
Import Video into editor. file is .mts
I split the video from the audio track.
I Split this Clip into several smaller clips.
I Deleted the smaller clips I didn't want to use.
I deleted the complete Audio File.
Using.......File.......Save Trimmed Video........The Render Screen will pop up, get to about 4% and them crash.
Only out is to close program.

Is this normal ?? Asking too much from this program ??

What I'm trying to do is grab a video portion only, turn it into a clip, and insert it into another video clip.

Can this be done with X3 or do I need to looking for a different program.

If you are trying to convert your edited project into a new clip, then you should be using Share > Create Video File, and then choose the output format.
