I have a whole series of pictures taken on a Nikon 5400 5 Megapixel, the date was left on and is burnt into a series of pictures taken in eurpoe
I wish to remove these date, I expect there is no easy way But I expect there must be a way using these tools.
I am happy to purchase a new bit of software if it helps to get it done
Thanks heaps

My wife is always putting the Date on photos when she uses my cameras and I am always forgetting to check to see if it is there.
That would depend on what software you have, PI 10? If so you can use the Clone Tool to remove, or paint over the Date Stamp. The clone tool uses the surrounding area to copy over the area you wish to hide. A little practice with some very fine adjustments and you can cover the Data Stamp and know one will ever know it was there.
If you have the Manual you will have to read for better clarification about the Clone Tool and how to adjust the settings and refine your paint strokes. If you don’t have the software or the manual you can download the PDF Manual from Ulead and get an Idea of what I am talking about.
http://www.ulead.com/pi/documents.htm the manual is 23 mgs

Random advice on cloning
The trick to using the clone tool (in my opinion) is to make sure you use a small brush with a soft edge.
Use small strokes and be prepared to reselect your source location, to adjust for moving shadows and change in tone etc.
A common mistake is to draw a long steady line away from your source location, so that as you keep going, the source mark follows the path of the paint mark. This gets it done fast, but often leaves a noticable pattern.
And finally, don't tell George W. Bush. Talking about cloning makes him nervous.
