Here are a number of steps that you can try.

Update Direct X from Microsoft.com - http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/window ... tx-11.aspx
Update your Video Card drivers - You need to visit the site of your computer manufacturer or GPU maker.

There could also be a damaged or corrupted file in the project, Try saving the project as an MPEG file. If the same error message appears when you save the project, close the program and create a copy of your project file. Remove files from the project and try re-saving until you have identified the damaged file (Please note to also check the Audio files in your project). Open the original project file and delete the damaged file.

Hello

First to save destroying discs choose to "Create a BluRay folder"
The process will be the same but save the files to your hard drive instead of Disc.
This will test the multiplexing process.

Things to try

How are you burning the disc? What is your workflow?

Option One...........
You can either Share Create Disc which will burn your project files.
Make sure you remove the chapter points from the timeline then Share Create disc, add chapter points from the burner module.
Burn a DVD Folder

Option Two..........

From the main edit timelines
Clear/remove all chapter points.........
Share Create Video File choose your video format, probably Blueray
Start a New project, nothing in the timelines, Share Create Disc.
Add Video File, use the file created above
Add Chapter points
Burn a DVD Folder

So I have no more patience.. :(

When I create "Blue Ray Folder", than is all Right, no errors. This means multiplexing procces is good.

Whats now ? Can I burn this Foder some external Program ? I have Nero 11 Burning Rom
If so, how ? Which folders do I need to copy and where ?
Please manual step by step.

I tried to burn the same project using "Video Deluxe 17 Plus HD" from MAGIX and all burn perfect (with menu and chapter), but I prefer to use corel because it has greater capabilities.

Really no one had a similar problem?

Best regards
Rafael

Sorry to hear that, unfortunatley i cannot help you in that respect.
--------------------

You have the option to create a video file first, then use the video file to burn the disc, did you try that option.

As far as i know you should be able to burn the BluRay Folder directly to a disc, however i have never done this but should be sucessful.

Hopefully other HD users may comment on this procedure.............

I have had exactly the same problem/same error message and have wasted 4 BR disks. It is apparently a problem with Corel communicating with the BR burner. Mine is a Samsung external (usb). Perhaps internal drives work better (I don't know).

My solution:
(1) Uncheck the "Create to Disk" button
(2) Check the "Create Blueray folders"
(3) "Burn" your project
(4) Use 2nd party software to burn the "BDMV" folder to your BR disk. I use Cyberlink Power2Go 7 (came with my burner).

This has worked successfully for me.
Annoying that Corel has again released powerful but buggy software.

Lata,

I going to reopen this conversion as I getting the same errors and getting coasters (3 of them so far).

Where is the "Create a BluRay folder" setting? I looked all over after my 1st coaster, but could never find an option like that. All I see is burn to disk (unchecking just grays out the burn option), so most I could do is make sure that the test before burn and buffer underrun is checked, but that did not help (coaster 2). Then I thought it was one of my files (one file I can't fast forward and NeroVision won't accept it either), so I only put in files that had no issue, but still I got the unexpected error (coaster 3). Now I read that there is a "Create a BluRay folder" setting, so can you help me on location? That it would be great.

I will post a picture when I get home later this evening if may be it is missing for me.

Thanks in advance

I have tried to burn BD-Rs for the past month and always get an unexpected error during the burn. I was able to burn BE-RE okay but NEVER a BE-R. It burns part way or almost to the end but never produces a usable disc. Has anyone had been about to produce a good one? I am using Liteon i HBS112 burner.

Another problem, even if I select burn 3 discs, it take 12 hours to produce any of them! It recreats all the menues and video again!!! You would think that there is a way to just used the converted files from before. This looks like a fault of the software to me.

Also, If I burn Blue ray folders, I can not burn them to a disc that works in any player. These are not data discs. I could not find any software to use those files. How do you do it?

I am sure many users have successfully burnt BD-R discs. I certainly have, though I use an LG burner. But give us some more details. Do you first create a Blu-Ray compatible file -- either HD transport stream mpeg-2 or AVCHD -- by using Share > Create Video File > Blu-Ray? Or do you finish editing and jump straight into Share > Create Disc? I would normally recommend the former workflow, rather than the latter.

As for burning multiple discs, I have never tried that using VS, so can't comment on how it works. If making multiple discs, I find it better to create a Blu-Ray folder as described above. Then I use Nero to burn the actual discs, all of which play in stand-alone Blu-Ray players. But you could also use the freeware ImgBurn for that. Make sure to read the manual before you use it, though...
