Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
Thanks andreas. Problem solved.
Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
I will explain my choice for the checkboxes colours.
First, it's in the ASP tone.
The black colour means "unchecked" and it is the same black as the edit field. The white is the same white as the font colour and notch in ASP.
The grey is logically in between. Such a tricolour can be seen in the curve level tool

As a colourblind, I have trouble to distinguish some kind of yellow-green and green-red.
I can feel some difference if the two colours are close together. But if there is just one, I have always a doubt : is that green, is that red ?
If you want coloured checkboxes, Red blue yellow is fine, but they don't match ASP's tones.
Adding symbols is also a good idea. If we can draw what we want I suggest something like :
X : nothing
- : between
√ : always (the square root is for a notch...)

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
Hi Andreas
I am very glad with asGPS. It works fine for me.
One question though: is there any possibility to set a defauit location? The Googl;e map starts somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean by default now, and most of the time my photographs are made in the Netherland.
Thnx
Mart

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
yes the default location is 0N 0W. It could be useful to add some options :
* last position on startup
* default position on startup
* last position on startup
* default position on startup
Darktable 3. Bye bye aftershot.
Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
I try this for checkboxes.
I you want the *.svg files, tell me.

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
would it be possible to find (filter) images which already have GPS Data?
I work with the nikon P6000 (sometimes GPS writing from this camera is ok) and with ASP in catalog mode.

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
I would like that as well. Actually, i would expect the standard product to allow that. GPS coordinates are stored in the picture file, so they should be extractable for the catalog. It should be able to find ones without GPS coordinates. I haven't tried that, though, so i don't know whether it does.

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
as I understand this from your posts, one cannot tag several pictures in one step. What about the Batch function? Could I not create a preset which I apply to several images in Batch mode?
Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
copy-sets are your choice of tool here, i would say.nyukuri wrote:as I understand this from your posts, one cannot tag several pictures in one step. What about the Batch function? Could I not create a preset which I apply to several images in Batch mode?
Bibble since 2004. Aftershot until 2020. From then on darktable.

Hi Andreas,
It seems the LIM search doesn't work if there is an apostrophe in the LIM field.
Probably because of the way characters are escaped.
Try «états unis d'amérique» et «états unis amérique»

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
Aposthrophe problem added to the todos. Jonathan meanwhile compiled a new version but also sees a problem with the external an internal map behaving different on startup. I will have a look into that too. Binoyte, If you want to send the three images, send a PM please. I will include the colors/images in the options.
There are copy set examples in the <Plugin-Dir>/asGPS/resources folder which can be copied into your <BibbleUserHome>/CopySets folder. Perhaps you want to change the keys before.

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
I have finally been able to try out your plugin, and it is absolutely awesome. The coloured checkboxes are slightly confusing, but I'm sure I will get the hang of it. As I promised, I also made a small donation for your effort. Now all I need is a program that can show me all the locations where I have taken pictures already, but I doubt that something like that can be done as a plugin.

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
current colors are traffic lights: Green = drive even if a walker crosses, Yellow = drive if no one is crossing your way, Red = stop and do not drive, even if the crossing is free

Re: asGPS: a geocoding plugin for ASP
Ah, I suppose it specifies which values it will be allowed to set when pressing the "tag" button? I haven't really had the time to play around with the plugin much yet, but I'm looking forward to do so. I have sooo many pictures to tag...
