development team tested asGPS on windows. They say the missing QT-Libs are the problem. It is not clear if they will be included in a later version of ASP. I tried to copy them manually but that did not work. I will have to retry it. Perhaps similiar problems occur on linux and mac systems when there is no QT installed.

Brilliant... I thought that Corel had learned by now that the plugins actually do extend THEIR product and give their customers enhanced and much better tools and essentially a better product experience. Hmmm, well... Probably not.. :?

Do Corel have a benefit for not including those QT-Libs? ...or is this just pure laziness?

Any update on this Andreas? This is normally used on everyone of my photos, so is fairly important to me.

Good news everyone :D . I compiled the 64-bit version of asGPS for Windows and it "seems" to be working well. I can search my address and tag the location to EXIF.

What I need now is volunteer to test this plugin. Preferably someone who has used this plugin before :-). Please reply with your platform so I can prioritize the compilation for your platform.

Thank you Andreas for helping me getting access to the source and the wonderful Corel contacts that granted me access to the SDK.

Now, where was that virtualbox image. Hmm.

Although I didn't really use asGPS a lot on ASP-1, I would love to give the 64bit version a try on my test install of ASP-2.2
I am running Windows 7 64bit on a quad core i5-4430 CPU with 16 Gig of RAM

thank you,
Lianis

Thanks Lianis. I have a version that works with Windows 10 64-bit. It should work with Windows 7 as well. I will upload a copy later on today :). Stay tuned.

I'll happily try a 64bit Linux version.

I'm running Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64Bit
Corel AfterShot v. 2.3.0.99

Here ya go, this plugin compilation only contains the lib file for Windows and Linux for now. Let me know how they turn out.

Well done!

A quick check suggests that this is working well on Linux Mint 17.2.
Will be good to hear how other xUbuntu users find it.

I can do all that I need with this version.
It correctly embeds EXIF, IPTC fields and they are still there on an export to JPG.
Google Mapping seems to work fine, at least for UK and mainland Europe.

First impression: porting to 64bit succeeded for Windows 7. It installed flawlessly and produced no errors so far.
I tried to adding, modifying and deleting coordinates and IPTC location tags

I'm slightly confused about the user interface however, probably because I hardly ever used asGPS so far, but preprocessed pictures with GeoSetter, which seems more intuitive to me.
I will have to go to read some user guide or so ;)

Thank you anyway for your effort @dattanchu, good work!

This is working on Corel 2.3.0.99 x64 on Linux Mint 17 2.2.16 64bit.

Thanks for working this, as it has been one of my most missed plugins. :D

Now to update the ASP plugin website, so others may easily find it.

This version should works on Windows, Linux and Mac as well.

Can someone test the Windows and Mac version before I submit this to Corel for inclusion on their site?

Seems to work fine after a quick test running ASP 2.3.0.99 under Windows 10 64-bit.

Thanks for all your hard work.
