hello andreas,

what about a function to set the viewing direction in asGPS. I asked about this feature some time ago ...
Will there be an update?

The direction is not integrated in the Exif fields ASP provides in the SDK, and I do not think that there will be a change by the Corel folks in the next 200 years

Hi,

I am just compiling asGPS for ASP 2.2. Not as simple as I thought.

Here is a first test version (google map only).

I have just upgraded to ASP 2.2 64bit and downloaded and installed asGPS. The dialog box in ASP asks if I want to install the plugin, and the next dialog asks if I want to restart ASP. Installed and restarted, but the plugin doesn't show in the plugin tab. I can't find it anywhere. ASP is restarted several times without any luck.
Afterwards I installed the new version of Bez 64bit and it installed perfectly and is shown in the plugin tab, but no asGPS...

Thanks for your effort Andreas :D

I don't think it's supported yet in 64 bit AfterShotPro2-2.
Thanks.

Hm ok, I will try to check on Windows. In the log file only this messages show up:

Code: Select all

819303.880: Loading plugins
819303.883: "Error loading plugin: C:/Users/Stargate/AppData/Local/Corel/AfterShot 2/Plugins (64-bit)/asGPS.afplugin"
819303.883: "Plugin library contained no recognizable symbols."
Mostly a problem with library dependencies.

first problem are missing QT libraries webkitwidgets and depending ones which are missing in the ASP Build (at least under Windows). But after copying them into the lib folder asGPS does not load either.

Hmmm... I thought Alex promised the support of ASP's internal dev. team in his post of Wed Jan 14, 2015 "
"Announcement for Plugin Developers"
http://forum.corel.com/EN/posting.php?m ... 6&p=300410
Alex Brazeau wrote:Private Forum for Plugin Devs
In response to other requests, we’ve resurrected a private developers forum where devs can get together to discuss and collaborate on plugin related issues. This is a practice some of you found to be extremely helpful back in the Bibble days. Many of you have expressed your desire to see more plugins make their way to the 64-bit version of AfterShot Pro and this revived forum will help devs to connect and work out issues with our internal development team in a timelier manner, so we can bring you the plugins you’ve been waiting for in 64-bit under the new Qt framework.
Maybe it's time to remind him of his promises. A PM to Alex might get the dev. team on track. I think they should be pretty aware of how dependant they are on the plugin developers now...
