After upgrading using the upgrade from UV8 to UV9, is it possible to uninstall UV8 from the PC? Or is it part of UV9 now?
Being that both UV8 and UV9 short cutted in my start bar and on the desktop suggests that they are both seperate entities.
Anyone know the score?

VS 8 and 9 are indeed separate and you can if you wish un install VS 8.
Saying that there are some common files shared by both programs.
Uninstalling 8 may effect 9 and a repair install may be required.
As far as I am aware most users are running several versions with no problems.
If you have sufficient memory to run both I would leave well alone.
(As side note:-the installation of 9 seems to have cured the OOS problem with

Thanks for your insight.
I've got 1.5Gb of ram, so memory isn't a problem, but being that I probably won't be using VS8 anymore now I've got VS9 it's just taking up hard drive space.
I think I'll finish my current video project and try uninstalling VS8 and see what happens, or doesn't (I'll keep any shared files, it tells me about)....
