MPEG2-HD Encoding in VS Pro X4

Post by fnab »

Hello,

I want to encode a video in MPEG2-HD with 1920x1080 and 24 fps (full pictures) @ 35000kbps VBR. Before i bought VS X4 i was using VS 8. There it was kind of easy to create that but in VS X4 this option is missing. I only have the choice between the PAL-DVD and NTSC-DVD Codecs. In VS 8 there was additionally MPEG and MPEG2. Where have them gone? Or is there any other way to solve this problem? Do i have to install any additional codecs, which i had installed on my old computer where VS8 was running?

If you go to Share > Create Video File > Custom, then in the drop down menu choose 'MPEG Transport Stream' as the format. The Options button will then allow you to set the Properties.

Thanks for the answer. I already tried this, that's what google said, but I can't set the framerate on 24 fps. Only 25 or 50.

I'm experiencing the same problem, it seems that the mpeg2 codecs are missing, plus some options are grayed.
fnab, did you uninstall your previous version of Corel Videostudio before installing the latest one? Cos I didn't, maybe the prob lies in there?

So you live in PAL land. I don't think 24p is available (used) in 50/25Hz video.
