I have started getting dialog boxes at launch about having duplicate items for Patterns, Textures, Gradients, and Swatches. I am not sure why or what to do about it.
Attached is a screen snip of the dialog.

Re: PSPX2 - "duplicate items detected" dialog upon launch
PSP will usually not display resources that it sees as duplicates. "Duplicate", to PSP, does not mean that the images are alike, but only that they have the same names. They can have different extensions, but still be considered duplicates. Ex: Edge 02.jpg and Edge 02.pspmask will be deemed as being the same. Or you may have Image1.jpg in the Patterns folder and Image1.bmp in the Textures folder. They may be completely different images, but the names mark them as duplicates. These perceived duplicates will confuse the program, slow down the loading, and may indeed hide some resources .
My usual procedure for fixing this is to copy the list to the clipboard via the button provided, then paste the list into Notepad. Then I open the browser (for the file types that can be viewed there) and find the named duplicates. If the images are different, I just rename one of them. If they really are the same, decide which to eliminate. (As I go along, I usually erase the names just worked on from Notepad so that I won't waste time looking for files I've already dealt with).
For duplicate gradients, it will be necessary to use a file browser and work from the name and file size only.
