Bug found concerning printing under linux

Post by dFlyer »

Okay seems I've found a major bug concerning linux printing. Just finished submitting my AfterShotPro.log. When I select a file for printing it refers to

79947.446: Show message: "1 versions sent to Print print batch"
79947.455: Cannot open file '/opt/supportfiles/images/removeButton.svg', because
: No such file or directory
79947.456: Cannot open file '/opt/supportfiles/images/removeButton.svg', because
: No such file or directory
79947.456: Cannot open file '/opt/supportfiles/images/addButton.svg', because: N
o such file or directory
79947.456: Cannot open file '/opt/supportfiles/images/addButton.svg', because: N
o such file or directory

It should refer to /opt/AfterShotPro/supportfiles/images.

If your having problems printing with linux you may want to check your AfterShotPro.log file. I did try coping supportfiles to /opt to see if that would fix the problem, but no luck. But if this error is there what other errors are there? If you can see this in your AfterShotPro.log please also submit a bug report, maybe we can get a fix sooner that 4 or 5 months.
Thanks.

dFlyer,

thanks for posting this bug. I successfully fixed the erraneous entries in the log file by doing the following:
- created the path /opt/supportfiles/images/
- created symbolic links in this path to /opt/AfterShotPro/supportfiles/images/removeButton.svg and addButton.svg respectively.

My system is a debian squeeze, AfterShot Pro version 1.0.1.10

I still cannot print, because no printer appears in the printers list (all other applications can detect the printers though), but I guess that's a different story.

Tx,
Gerrit

You need to upgrade to cups 1.5.3 and that should allow you to print using linux and debian/ubuntu or any our deb system.
Thanks.
