[BUG?] in ASP 1.0.1.10 or in Nuance? - sliders very slow

Post by ChrisC »

Hi

I already posted my impression that the sliders of the Nuance plugin are responding very slow after the upgrade to ASP 1.0.1.10.
Now I did a test on a second installation -> and I am sure that it was not only my impression

So: is this a bug with the new ASP version or a bug within Nuance?
(Has anybody else noticed this problem?)

thanks
Chris

Sliders in Nuance are as fast or slow as those in the native color balance tool (on a 32bit Ubuntu).

cheers

Yes, on Win7 I concur with your observations, but its hardly a show stopper.
I am inclined to think it is a little more 'snappy' on Linux.

Perhaps there is simply much more going on under the bonnet on this Plug-in than with some others.
I seem to remember Sean mentioning the complexity of the code in his original Post.

Thanks for your statement.
I agree that this is not a show stopper - but a real step backwards in useability.

(For me) it's in the nature of Nuance to play around until you get the desired effect.
And with the sliders jumping around and not moving continuously through the values makes the process much more cumbersome.

I've got another trouble report to look at also, so I'll revisit Nuance shortly. Any further evidence of this or other issues would be much appreciated. Thanks!
