When I choose a DVD-menu the default chapter names are "chapter01" to chapter99" where 99 is the last chapter number. I do use the German language version. The it is "Kapitel01" to "Kapitel99".
I do not want to have the word "Kapitel" in each line of the menu. I only want to have the chapter number. "01" to "99". Not the short numbers which count from 1 again on each page of the menu.
Is it possible to change the text "Kapitel" to blank or to delet the text to get only the chapter numbers als default chapter names? Can I configure it manual in any configuration file. I think that the word "Kapitel" comes from a German language file? Can I change it to blank there?
Thank you fpr help ad regards from South Germany,
Klaus

double click on the chapter name - "Chapter 01" ( "Kapitel 01") and type in whatever you like - or delete all the text - or RIGHT click over the chapter name and choose 'Hide Object' - once you have customised a menu template you can save it and it will appear in your favourite menu gallery so you don't have to keep changing things.

Re: VSP X5 DVD Authoring: Change default chapter names
Thanks Brian, I know but this is only possible to do at each page of the menus. What I want is a template menu where as default only the chapter numbers are in the name fields. I have to cut a lot of movies for about 40 DVDs. All DVDs shall have the same design with only the chapter numbers. I know that I'll be able to manual change or delete the name in each chapter name.BrianCee wrote:double click on the chapter name - "Chapter 01" ( "Kapitel 01") and type in whatever you like - or delete all the text - or RIGHT click over the chapter name and choose 'Hide Object'
Sorry but it is not possible to save an edited menu as a template. It is only possible to costumise a template. But there is no way to change or to delete the chapter names. Double-clicking at the chaptername does not work at costumizing a template. Righ-mouse-click at the chapter name field does not offer to delete the Name.- once you have customised a menu template you can save it and it will appear in your favourite menu gallery so you don't have to keep changing things.
So I found no way to set only the chapter numbers as default name in a template.
I had tried that all before I have posted my question. Therefore I thaught it could be possible to change the German word "Kapitel" in a language file into blank to get what I want.
