Hi,
I recently got the Sony A77. I think its a great camera and I love to use it. However in ASP the camera doesn't seem to be available in the lens correction list. Is there anything I can do to add it? I know lenses can be calibrated but never seen anything about camera bodies.

Re: Sony A77 calibration
The only thing needed from the body is the crop size....bluefightingcat wrote:I recently got the Sony A77. I think its a great camera and I love to use it. Everything else is lens specific.

Re: Sony A77 calibration
It's a bug. I have a A77 and i know the problem.
ASP can not recognize your Model (A77) for an optical correction. No model, no lens (a calibrated lens is not recognized)...
Sorry for my English. My program is in french... and me also

Looks like AS does not know abotu the cams crop size and therefore does not match any lenses...Loup-marin wrote:ASP can not recognize your Model (A77) for an optical correction. No model, no lens (a calibrated lens is not recognized)...
There is an a77V entry in the lens db (profile_sony.txt). What happens when you copy that and remove the "V" from the name?

afx, I hope for that you made a joke. !
If I must do all the work by myself, manually ! This is not a solution. It is a rescue for data processing specialist, not a program for photographer.
Please, I know you are Linux user thus data processing specialist. Me, I am simple photographer.

If you don't care for finding a solution, then you can sit and pout...Loup-marin wrote:afx, I hope for that you made a joke. !

Editing a simple text file and copying a few lines should be doable for everyone. If not, stay away from digital imaging.

Re: Sony A77 calibration
It really is simple to do what afx is suggesting. It's just a text file, and really everyone who uses a computer of any kind ought to take a few minutes and learn how to edit a plain text file...Loup-marin wrote:afx, I hope for that you made a joke. !

Re: Sony A77 calibration
Since I upgraded to ASP 1.0.1 I can't seem to find any of the files that contain camera and lens calibrations. Does anybody have any idea where they are located in linux?
