CANT RUN THE DOWNLOAD VERSION OF ULEAD PE 5!!!!!

I Purchased dowloaded version of Ulead but it cant run on my computer! Am on WINXP Service pack 1 and has updated my system. I previously has Ulead PE 2.0 and 4.0, worked very well. now I have even removed them from my system and only left version 5.0 but its still not helping.....PLEASE HEEEELLLP!!!!!!!! when I change compatibility to any old windows version i get error= CANNOT RUN BACKGROUND IMAGE.
