Project Preview won't play Smooth - it stutters.

Hey guys,

I just installed VideoStudio Pro x5. After creating a few clips, I go to play the project and the preview video image studders, and plays a clip here and there, but my music plays smooth.

I have all the hardware acceleration box's checked ( there's 3 of them ). I don't know what to do, I read this is the least demanding video editing program. I also meed the minimum system requirements?

Please give us the FULL specification of the video you are trying to edit - to do that RIGHT click on the video in your timeline - choose 'Properties' and post all those properties in your next post.

OK - next question - have you enabled "Smart Proxy" when editing

"Settings >> Preferences >> Performance" - click to check "Enable Smart Proxy"

Ok. I did that, same problem. I also updated my Quicktime Player.

I should note that this only happens when playing the entire project, not when playing individual clips.

I selected smart proxy but the clips don't have that icon indicating it.......

Did you allow time for the proxy files to be made. It is a somewhat slow process so you have to be patient.
