no sound with videostudio pro x4
How do I get the audio as well as the video, I am using a VC500 capture device and the video comes in clear but no audio

Well - the first thing you need to do is tell us exactly how you are connecting up the VC500 to the video source - I have a suspicion that you are only using the s-video connection but I need you to confirm that - what about the red and white RCA connectors - what is connected to them.

I am using the red,white & yellow rca plugs connecting to the AV plug on the camera and going thru a USB slot on my computer

Not sure if your VC500 is exactly what I have, but here is my recommendation if it is the same.
I have a Diamond Multimedia One-Touch Video Capture VC500 that requires the audio (red/white) from the VCR/Camcorder to be connected to the Line-In of my sound card. The Video (yellow) from the VCR/Camcorder goes through the VC500 USB connection.
I cannot go through USB with the audio because VideoStudio does not recognize the VC500 audio drivers. I can only go through the VC500 with the Video. That means that there will be an video/audio syncronization problem that I'll have to deal with after capturing.
It's better to use the standalone capture software that comes with the VC500 for capturing instead of using VideoStudio. That way the video and audio can all be routed through the VC500 USB connection.
