Is there a way to get the Euro symbol (€) in the VSX5 text editor

Depending on keyboard layout, the symbol can be entered as either AltGr+E, AltGr+4, or AltGr+5.[7] On the Mac OS operating system, a variety of key combinations are used depending on the keyboard layout (for example, ⌥ Option+2 in British layout, ⌥ Option+⇧ Shift+2 in United States layout).[8] The Compose key sequence for the euro sign is =E.

my right hand Alt + 4 gives me € in X5

Copy and Paste from word also works

On my keyboard I have to press 'Ctrl + Alt + 4' all at the same time to give me €

I can also copy and paste from the Windows Character Map which gives me €

Thanks for the replies. I know how to get € in MSWord but the key combination or the copy/paste doesn't work for me in X5. Do you really get the symbol in an (animated) VSX5 text?

Yes in many of them I can put it in moving titles - it does not work properly with some of the more elaborate fonts where it only puts a square box - but in general - yes in moving text.

Works fine in this one :-

Strange...in my case none of the suggestions seem to work. I normally have to hit CTRL+ALT+5 for Word, but no response in X5 when doing this, also no "paste" selection in X5 with the right mouse key after a copy from Word. I an still on the trial version, could that play a role?

No the trial version is a full and working copy - just stops working after 30 days unless you buy a serial number.

I don't get any options at all when I right click over text in a title - not even a pop up - but Ctrl+V always works for me.

After installing the French language, as in the linked post, I can press CTRL-ALT-E to get the euro symbol directly in titles.

...And that would probably also work for our user who is having trouble inserting Turkish-specific letters/accent marks...

You can try going the ASCII Code, you can just press and hold down the ALT key then press 0128 then letting go of the ALT key. This should write the "€" symbol.

For whatever reason, using the ALT key and numeric keypad does not work for me in VideoStudio.

Neither for me. I also noticed that for some font settings the "Control V" and the "French keybord" way results in different (wrong) symbols
