Unlinked and Missing Files

Post by Aspie232 »

I'm trying to make a video, but my files keep getting unlinked. All I see are blank clips on the timeline and no video. Furthermore, when I try to relink the files, I sometimes get messages like the file is too short or is unreadable. I'm also not finding things in the folders I put them in. I downloaded a service pack, but I don't know if it will help. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem and keep it from happening any more? Thanks in advance.

Where are the unlinked videos stored? On an external drive, perhaps? Sometimes Windows assigns different drive letters to external drives, depending what other things like USB sticks and or cameras have also been attached.

And what versions of VS are you using?
