Add this @ symbol in titles.

Hi All,

Hopefully this is a simple question (I hope) -- is there a way to add the '@' symbol in a title.

I want to include a email address in a short video as -->

mailaddress@hotname.com

but for some reason whenever I type the @ symbol it appears as a sqare box on the title screen despite being shown correctly in the title itself.

Is there any easy way round this ?

Hi Brian

I have just tried the @ symbol using VS 8 and 9.

It appears ok. I see the @ only.

I do not see any square box as you discribe.
I tried various font sizes but only see @

Brian,
I use VS8 and have incorporated various symbols and punctuation in my titles. I have noticed what you have described but only in the title track of the video timeline, never in the video preview and never in the final rendered video file.

Are you trying to use some unusuall font Brian, some of the less common ones do not have the @ symbol in them

Guys,

Thanks for your repsonses -- I thought I'd posted a thanks yday but obviously not.

Anyhow --- yes a bit of a school boy error, it was getting late and I was getting tired and just could not see the wood from the trees.

As suggested it turned out to be a font issue. I was trying to use a font (can't remember which), that did not support these extended characters.

Changed to a font that did and QED.....
