Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Trevor and I have Windows XP Pro, and neither of us are having problems capturing. It could be a Windows 7 or 64-bit compatibility issue.

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Hi
Using Windows 7 (Lynn is washing up)
Just captured the X5 workstation with no problems.
My captures recorded everything within the customised window and nothing else.
set at 1030 x 576, thats what it recorded, i would normally select 1280 x 720 for my frame size purley to create a standard video size.
It seems to work as it should

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Have you tried installing the latest graphics driver for your graphics device? I always try installing the latest graphics driver for my NVidia card when I have screen issues.

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Yes my graphics card drivers are current. I guess I will call Corel Monday....so much for calling Corel, they do their best to avoid giving support and direct you to a paid base support system EVEN THOUGH I am still within my 90 days.... which I should get free support.

instead of capturing the X5 work space try capturing something on a webpage, after all why would you want to capture the X5 work space unless doing a tutorial on X5. The capture feature is more likely to be used on websites or desktops.

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
I, Kingston, did capture some video playing on YouTube. That came out correctly. I drew the rectangle just around the player.

Notice that those who have no issues all have Windows XP?Kingston wrote:I, Kingston, did capture some video playing on YouTube. That came out correctly. I drew the rectangle just around the player.

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Hi e_a_g_l_e_p_i
I have also run some tests using Windows 7 without problems.
You Tube capture worked fine, no problems. Any capture I try seems to work without problems.
I have tried in vain to replicate your problem.
It should not matter what we are capturing, we are just capturing the screen pixels irrespective of the source
I cannot try W7 at the moment, till I re-install, having problems installing X4 after X5, so I uninstalled all last night, will re-install X4 first, I digress..........
I will try to do a screen capture of the X5 screen capture process I use, if that makes sense, although I cannot believe you are doing anything wrong, you just cannot get it wrong, it just works??????

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Well I have Windows 7 Premium on the laptop and Windows 7 Ultimate on the Desktop and both use the VS screen capture with no problem at all - the problem is the screen capture has only just been included and we have not found out enough information yet about what makes it work and what stops it working.

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
You would think Corel would have done that in R&R before releasing it.
I am going to uninstall VSP and then reinstall it and see if that helps, other that that I will wait to hear back from Corel which I hope will be before they lower me in the grave.. ie, they are slow

Hi
I am back up and running on the laptop with W7, screen capture is still performing ok.
e_a_g_l_e_p_i
I noticed from your profile that you are running Dual monitors, have you tried disconnecting the second monitor and running on one??
Post Edited
I have just tried Dual Monitors, no problems, using XP

Re: Screen capture in X5 Pro Ultimate
Rather than using the screen capture of VS X5 to copy a youtube video, I would suggest that you try using a youtube downloader that will allow you to download the video file directly from Youtube. Real Player has a feature to do that and there are a lot of FireFox and Chrome extension that allows you to download video from Youtube.
