I am creating a video that has maybe 30 short clips. Because of the setting where they were shot, they all need a brightness and contrast adjustment. Is there any way to do a batch adjustment and avoid going thru the process on each one?
I am using VS Pro X4

Re: Batch clip brightness adjustment
Hi
Apply the filter to the first clip.
Right click the clip to select copy attributes.
Using Shift + Click select the last clip, will select all
Right click and select Paste Attributes

Another Q about brightness adjustment
Is it possible to adjust the brightness/contrast for only one area in the image?
Also, is it possible to change the contrast in a clip, gradually over time?

Re: Batch clip brightness adjustment
Hi
for only one area i think you would have to use a mask, there are samples in the Chroma Key option.
Really depends on which area you intend changing.
Can you post the image identifying the area.
You would need to use the image in the top track and the overlay track. apply the Mask and Brightness filter.
If you wish it to change as the project plays then use the Customise Filter options, you can add Keyframes changing the settings as you progress

Re: Batch clip brightness adjustment
hi
From the FX library drag a filter to the clip.
Lower Right of library press Options to open the properties panel, choose the Attributes Tab
The filters applied will show in the left panel, below is Customise Filter, this shows a new window displaying the original and filtered effect, preview
The keyframes show as a diamond shape along the timeline, the active one being red.
Add keyframes using small icons lower left of original screen
Tip right click a keyframe for options.

Re: Batch clip brightness adjustment
I've been using VS for 2-3 years and I have never touched the FX library and its Keyframes and Effects. This opens a whole new world!
