clips play for 1 second

All of a sudden my Videostudio X4 will not play any clip for longer then a second or two. When you play a clip or the project it plays for 1 or 2 seconds and stops just like you hit the stop or pause button. Click play again and it does the same thing. Makes it really impossible to edit. It had been working great up until last week. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still have the same problem. I have excluded my anti virus from scanning the Corel folder. Any ideas?

If your videostudio x4 was working before, then you may want to check any program that you install from the time that it was working to the time that it's not, since this program can be causing software comflicts with your videostudio.

another thing, this can also be a codec issue. Here are some of the codecs that you may want to install.
