Does VS5 have the DVD burn program within it, not a separate program? I am using Corel DVD Movie Factory and also use ProX3. I prefer using my own template or rather my own jpegs for the background. Movie Factory forces me to use their templates, meaning I can't just have a jpeg in the background, have to use their gallery and I spend frustrating time moving off the template parts or hiding them, unless it's there in Movie Factory and I just didn't know how to not use something from the gallery.
Thanks so much,
Candy

Hi Candy
Yes Video Studio does contain the standard Create Disc burner module.
I say standard to differentiate from X3, which was a mistake on Corels part.
I am surprised however that you say you cannot use your own images as the background to your menu.
That option has always been part of the menu creation.
By the way the X5 burner module is similar to the DVD Movie Factory 7SE used for X3.
I assume you mean this program and not DVD Factory Pro 2010
Download the trial version and give it a go.

Re: Does VS5 have DVD burn within it?
Lata, I just downloaded a trial of ProX5, went to create DVD, I see where I can use one of my own jpegs for background of the title which I've done in the past but seems like it still forces me to use a smart scene from the gallery. How can I not use one of the smart scenes but just my jpeg. Do you know?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Does VS5 have DVD burn within it?
Trevor, thanks for the screen shot. I've actually done what the screen shot shows many times and ended up dragging off the various parts of the smart scene or hiding, so I'm stumped as to how NOT to use the gallery smart scenes. Windows DVD burn program allows for jpegs without a template.
thanks again for any help.
Candy

"Dramatic improvements in DVD and Blu-ray™ authoring in in Corel® VideoStudio® Pro X5 Ultimate mean you can export single clips from the DVD interface, edit and create DVD subtitles, show or hide subtitles, burn from an ISO disc image and more."

Hi Candy
From the Gallery tab choose to use either Text Menu or a Thumbnail menu.
These options should give a relatively clear screen
