X5 stuck 'Loading wave data...'

Post by skis04 »

Had this problem in X4 as well. When I activate the sound mixer the clips are all stuck on 'Loading wave data...' I leave the computer alone for hours and there's no change in status and X4/5 has become unresponsive. The problem is only occurring with MPEG's that were captured using X4. AVI's are working without a problem. What's going on? Anyone have an idea? A bit about the system:

Windows 7 SP1
Intel Core Duo2, 266GHz
4GB RAM
X5 installed on C: with 300GB available
Files on G: with 400GB available
No other programs running
HD MPEG's ~10GB in size,
5 files in project
~50 clips

Any help appreciated!

This can be a codec issue and you may want to update or install the commonly used codecs on your computer.
