issues installing paint shop photo pro x3
I recently bought PSPx3 I had the trial version installed on my computer before, I had recently gone through a reformat so everything is bck to its original state I have windows vista 64-bit with the service pack 2 installed, I go to install the product and all that comes up is the box stating that it is trying to configure direct x...and then it pops up another box stating that my system has not been modified. I do not understand because before the reformat the trial version worked FINE! so i went out and bought this thinking great I will have this program on my computer...but now it was a huge waste of money cause it will NOT INSTALL!!!!! HELP!!!

This is a user to user forum. The majority of us are not Corel employees and the ones that are come here on their own time in an unofficial capacity. Corel does however offer technical support for installations free of charge last I checked. A support ticket can take a while to respond to, so contacting Corel's technical support now would save time.
Go into the control panel of Windows, create a new account with admin privileges. You'll need to turn off all security programs. AV, Anti-Malware, firewall, UAC.
In the new account try installing PSP with all security software turned off. If it works you can use PSP on the other accounts. Once installed successfully, you can delete the new account.
Good luck.

You may want to follow these steps.
Update Direct X
You can visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113 for ways on how to download and install directx on your computer.
Create a new user name
create a new user name via windows Control Panel and USER ACCOUNTS. The new user name needs to have an admin rights and login to that new user name and run the installation process. Since the new user has admin rights, this will allow your original user name to access any program that was installed on the new user name.
