Opening alb files
After I installed Paint Shop Pro X4, I noticed that some of my picture files had changed and now I can't open them. They are labeled as .alb files. What must I do to open or convert them. Many were made a decade ago. I hate to loose them.

Re: Opening alb files
What are alb files? What program used to open them?
The only alb files that I'm aware of were Jasc Image Commander Album files but I never really understood how they worked, if they were actual image compilations or just lists for organizational purposes.
If the program that used to open these files is still installed on your computer then you can re-associate the file with the old program. You just need to set your default programs in Windows.
This link has both a video and text explaining how to do it if you aren't familiar with the process on Windows 7.
