VideoStudio X5 - problems with Do-More

Long before a wish list for X6.... I WISH the VSX5 i've bought this week... to function properly.

In the COREL GUIDE / DO MORE section... the TEMPLATES MENU does not appears.

When i made the install... it apeeared one time, so i download and install the templates for the INSTANT PROJECTS.
When i tried to ... download and install... the MENU PACK_02... it reported an error and the TEMPLATE MENU GO AWAY.

I've tried a lot of unistall followed by others install... anda all goes the same.

I'd like a help for this trouble... I've bought the X3 and X4 versiosn before and they were too good... X5 is being to be too much DECEPTIVE.

The Instant Templates, if you have previously downloaded these using X4 then the templates will be saved to your computer. For XP should be here:-
C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME \My Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro

Inserting the Instant Templates to X5 library custom page.

Menu Pack 2 is not an Instant Template but used to add DVD Menus to the Gallery when doing Share Create Disc. It does appear to add additional templates to the HD Menus, it does not add anything to the SD DVD section?
Viewing your Bluray DVD Gallery should display 19 templates. How many do you see?

DoMore_menu_02.exe

Well,
Firstly, thanks for the answer you give me.

Today I opened the VSPX5 and many things have changed... but not all.

1) The TEMPLATES MENU... in the COREL GUIDE / DO MORE section... returned back.

2) I received a new lot of TEMPLATES for the INSTANT PROJECTS, ranging from the the 21 to 48_HD-Projects.
These aren't at disposable at Photovideolife yet.
Very good !!!

3) The MENU PACK_02 icon appeared again on my screen... i downloaded and installed it.
I locate the file DoMore_Menu02.exe on the hrad disk too (in a hidden directory).
BUT...
a) I don't see any new templates for authoring the DVD... and The VSP X5 still is in debt compared with the same of the VSPX4.
b) In the COREL GUIDE / DO MORE / TEMPLATES section... the icon of the MENU PACK_02 still appears as ... NOT INSTALLED...
but it also doesn't respond to any click on it.

Well... I WISH too much these lot of templates for authoring DVD... i'll be so gratefull for a solution

I haven't noted your considerations about the Blu-Ray DVD creation.

For the Blu-ray DVD, there are 27 templates whereas the VSPX4 has only 17.

Have the MENU PACK_02... additional templates only for the Blu-Ray??

If so, how can I export these additional templates for the DVD section ??

First there is a DVD Extra Menu file provided for Video Studio X4
This will substantially increase the DVD Menu Gallery of X4

New SD and HD disc Menus

The Menu templates are ****.ufo types
they also need the matching ****.ini file
they are saved to this folder structure:-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\Content\Menu Template\HD Basic\16x9\HD Basic

The new templates start with the names using 09*****
Copy all 09 files
to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\Content\Menu Template\16x9\Scene Button
The templates should show in the standard DVD Thumbnail Gallery

Similar copy and pastes from X4 to X5 should also work?

Warning, I have to add that changing some system files may cause the program to fail, you may then have to re-install.
I have however moved all 09 types as above and they now show in the thumbnail gallery.

Thank You again.

I did the copy of the 09XXXXX files and got the Extra DVD Menus,
the only difference is that to the things function properly... the files must be copied to the
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\Content\Menu Template\16x9\OneScene Button
instead of the SCENE BUTTON, and the Extra menus appeared in the SMART SCENE intead of the Thumbnails.

The DoMore_Menu_01 file only adds menus to the X4.. not to the X5.
But, a time ago i had copyied the files from the C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X4\Content\Menu Template\HD Basic\16x9\HD Basic
to the correspondent X5 directory and got to the X5 Gallery, all the Extra menus from the X4.

One thing more related to this issue is about the X5 Ultimate having less TITLES TYPES from the X4 Ultimate.
I've given a simple solution to it... and it be usefull to other Corel VSP users and lovers.
In the X4, I made a project only with Color Images and added a different text type to each one, using all the text types from the X4.
In the sequence, in the X5 I oppened the project and copied its text types that were missing to the X5 txt gallery.

Hi Valmir

Thanks for the info regarding the Smart Menu gallery.

The Text / Title clips, yes you can copy them across by using a VSP file.
Once you have updated the library you should save the library, Settings -- Library Manager-Export Library. This will then be available to Import the library should you need to.

I use the option to export the library quite often, I have one Export set as a blank library, useful to to clear the library if all those samples get in the way.
