Re: Saving a VSX4 project outside of VSX4
Hi Ken
There seems to be some confusion regarding the My Projects folder.
Video Studio requires a “Working folder” assigned to it, this allows the program to capture video, the “Working folder also knows as the “Capture folder”
We can however create new folders and assign them as a Working Folder, I create new folders one for each project I am working on. To create a new Working folder access the Capture Tab or (F6) for Preferences
You can create a folder any where on your hard drives, if you use an external hard drive, make sure it is turned on/connected whilst using Video Studio.
The My Projects folder.
This is created by Video Studio and is used as the default working folder, that is until you create and assign another.
The My Projects folder is not redundant and will be used by default. So when working on a new project, The first time you save the project the default location will be used, that is My Projects, you do not want to save here and can navigate to find another folder, which in your case will be on Drive:G
Once you have saved the project, any other “save” operations for that project will default to the last known location.
--------------------------
If you create Working Folders, and save your VSP there, Screenshots, Save Trimmed Video etc will be saved to the working folder
Video Studio will never save anything to the My Projects folder for that particular project.
Now thats as clear as mud..........

Re: Saving a VSX4 project outside of VSX4
In other words,I carry on as I always have done and save eveything to my usual folder in in G: drive.I asked this question
because I read in "Picture yourself making creative movies with VSX pro X4" that" VSX4 will auto want to save your project to its My Projects folder. If you need to locate it outside VS you should find it here C:\users.....blah blah. This gave me the impression that it was going to be difficult(for me( to sort it.I was not aware that VSX4 or any other version wanted to do this
automatically.
