Hello,
Does anyone know if X4 will or does support the RAW files of the Canon 5d Mark3? It's a new camera, and DPP (Canon's own software) is having difficulty processing RAW (Image Softness) from the mk3, so I thought it would be a good question to ask. Also, if it isn't supported, how much time before one would expect for the update to support those new RAW files comes out?
Thanks,
David

Corel's list of supported raw files does not list the EOS 5D Mark III, though it does list the Mark II. I don't know how recent this list is, but Corel typically adds more (newer?) raw file support with new releases and service packs. The list of supported raw files can be found at http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... 000000L2Sz.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X4 and Canon 5dmk3 RAW Support
A recent interview with the 5DMkIII product manager stated a new DPP version with several new features would be released in concert with the new camera.
A set of lens profiles were to be supplied for many L lenses to deal with corrections of optical properties, among other improvements.
I suggest you might be more satisfied with the supplied free (to Canon owners) DPP application since it can provide more complex manipulation of the RAW files and then export in 16 bit tiff format for editing in PSPX4.
Download it from the product page of the camera under the drivers and software tab. I notice that DPP is not listed yet for the MIII but it is for other cameras. The more complex MIII version is probably being finished up.
