Samsung R10 Encoding Distortion Problems

Post by STEVELANCASTER »

I have a problem editing and encoding video from my Samsung R10 camcorder, this problem has developed I believe since SP2 to my VideoStudio Pro x4, however I tried unistalling and loading original version and the problem persisits. When a video file is created whether edited or not, the resulting file suffers pixalation and distortion particualy where there is any motion, this appears to happen regardless of the destination format, however if no editing has taken place and the file is saved the same format as the 1st clip then there is no problem.
I have uploaded to YouTube an example of the problem I'm seeing along with the an upload of the original file as a comparisson.

Original -

Saved via VS x4 -

The HD Video format from the camera is 1080/50i (50fps), the same format I have used since day 1, I have in the past edited and saved a large number of videos using both VS x3 and VS x4 with material from this camera, importing directly from SD card or copying to HDD then editing without any issue. The example on YouTube was saved using Share Video - Create Video File - DVD - DVD 16:9, however similar results occur in all the formats i have tried.

All other video editing and saving from other sources seems to be without issue.

SP1 and SP2 are currently installed, I have tested with both Hardware encoding on and off
