Windows needs to config PSProX

Post by Ken Veal »

For some unknown reason I kept getting a message from Windows(XP) stating it had to config PSProX.Then it said it could not do so because the file is on the disc and not available.I inserted the disc which got rid of the messages. Now I have lost the ability to do a screen capture, after right clicking the screen, unusually, I have to drag over the target area and a blue area is highlighted but this does not transfer to PSPro for further use.To do a screen capture before this, after right clicking,I could draw a marquee around the target area which then trnasferred to PSPro automatically.Help please!

I use the Windows Screen capture instead of the PSP version.
I hit the Print Screen key, which captures everything on the desktop/website etc, then right-click in the PSP workspace>Paste as a New Image.
If I only want to capture the active window, like a message box or something, I hold the Alt key, hit the Print Screen key and paste into PSP as described.

Is that what you had in mind?

Try this:
Open any image, apply anything, Enhance Photo>Smart Photo Fix will do.
When Smart Photo Fix is open, hit the Alt Key + Print Screen.
Close the box and then right-click in the Workspace>Paste as New Image.
This should result in a copy of the Smart Photo Fix box.

Using the Alt Key will tell Print Screen to only copy the active image.
