DVD Burning question for X5 Pro

Post by WaAlJo »

I'm trying to convert a VHS tape to DVD. I've captured the video and I'm attempting to burn it to a DVD, but when I go into the Share/Create Disc/DVD window, it says I have a 4.7 GB disc, but that I have 8.32 (8.94) GB / 1 Hour 59 Min 19 Sec to burn.
Any idea of how to tell it to burn the 2 hours of video to the disc?
I've changed the Project Properties/Compression tab to show Variable Video Data Rate of 4000 kbps, but I'm not sure how to make it actually change to use it.
I've done this in the past with Video Studio X2, but I decided to upgrade to X5 and I can't find the right option.
Thanks,

Hi

The burner modules of X2 and X5 are very similar when it comes to burning the disc.

From Video Studio edit timelines, add/insert your video, right click and select properties what are they?
post the details here......
Check that the file is below 4.3 Gb so that it will indeed fit to disc. If it is above 4Gb then it will require re-rendering using a lower bit rate.

Read my guide, will save me typing

Thanks, lata. I guess I just had to go back to the beginning and re-import the video to get it to the right resolution to fit on the disk. I believe I've got it, now.
