VideoStudio Pro X5 DVD Thumbnail Menu ?

Post by artworker »

Can someone help me with this question with VideoStudio Pro X5.
I'm not a video person so excuse me if this is a stupid question.
I have 6 clips and have created a DVD thumbnail menu, what I want to do is to be able to play each clip separately.
In other words, after each clip is played I want to be returned to the thumbnail menu to choose another clip.
At the moment all the clips are played sequentially.
I've looked around but can't find the right button.
Any ideas - is it possible?

Thanks

when you are in the "Create Disc" window down in the bottom left corner you will see three icons - the middle one looks like a little cog wheel - click on it . In the new panel which opens right down at the bottom is a tick in the box next to "Auto repeat when disc playback ends" - click to un-check that box and the little drop down under it will become available - use that to select "Back to Menu" - click OK and the menu should now do what you want.

You need to select individual clips to play just the one you want - by default VideoStudio also puts a 'play all' icon on the menu and again by default that is automatically selected when you start the disc - pressing play on the remote at that point will play through all clips before returning to the menu.

Thanks for the very speedy reply.
What you describe is exactly what I have been doing - it seems logical, but it does not return to the thumbnail menu after a clip is played.
I'm pretty sure I haven't done any thing odd, but if that's what you do I must have.
I used to use VideoStudio 9 and I'm sure I managed to do it in that.

Thanks

well X5 is just the same - as long as you unchecked the box and then selected "return to menu" and OK I can't think why it does not work for you at the moment.
