TIFF image sizes

Post by pgman »

Hi,

I create panos with Photoshop CS5 as 16 bit TIFF files. They are big and ASP can't open/read them:

9000 pixels by 4900 ==> 477Mb
12000 by 4924 ==> 647Mb
14840 by 4950 ==> 713Mb

What setting in Photoshop CS5 should I use so that ASP can read the panoramas?

Thanks

No chance.
The current limit for rendered files (TIFF; JPG) is 30MP and your 9000 pixels by 4900 pano is 44MP.

cheers

Funny that ASP will not be able to open pictures from a camera phone... the 41 MPix Nokia :-P

From what I've read it shouldn't be a problem, as the phone doesn't produce 41MP images but downsamples them to a more sensible size to (at least in theory) improve quality.

Not in all modes -- there's a mode where you can capture full size image. I downloaded a few samples and they are that big...

Where can I find the file specifications like maximum width height, pixels, file size (mb)...?

http://www.corel.com/corel/product/inde ... 00006#tab4 just mention the files supported, not the sizes.

Thanks

Repackaged Bibble5 is what we are running for the most part. I would think that the size limits will have to change at some point.
