I'm experiencing poor resolution with a title bar that is a png file. I am creating the bar from a vector graphic and creating a large png file that has great resolution. But when it's rendered in the movie it look terrible. Is there a preferred graphic type to use?
Thanks,
Wayne

i always get the best results with .png files but there is a bit more to it than that - depending on exactly what your video format is the final full screen image may well be as small as 640 X 480 pixels (NTSC) or 720 x 576 (PAL) - so having a big image to start is not necessarily a route to getting a good image onscreen. I have found that much more important for a good image display is to format your image before inserting to VS to a 4:3 or 16:9 format - so for instance for 16 x 9 crop your image to (say) 1600 x 900 pixels - that way VS does not have to distort the image to fit and seems to produce acceptable results. Might not work exactly like that if you are just doing a title bar but I would think the same principle applies - correct format first

When I am inserting pictures that I use for titles, I always adjust the picture size to the size of my output video file. For example, if I want my video to be 1920x1080, I make my title JPEG 1920x1080. Gives me perfect results every time.
