Upgrading options for Paintshop Pro X3

I have a downloaded copy of Paintshop Pro X3 (I dont have the boxed version) which I had bought last year. I am currently located in India and since the online store in my country wasnt active back then, I had to purchase it from the Corel US Store. I was of course told by the very helpful people at Corel support that since I had bought the downloadable version, I shouldnt run into issues regarding registration and address problems and I didnt, even though I bought the software using my permanent address in India and as a user located in India.

Now, in 2012, there is a Corel Online Store in India. However it doesnt really work with the upgrade discount coupons I had received when I bought the Paintshop Pro X3. So I guess I'll have to buy the software from the US Store itself.

I hope I'm not doing the wrong thing here by getting it from the US Store especially since its the downloadable version I'm using and not the boxed one. Am I right in assuming that?

Uprade eligibility should not matter where you bough the program, how the problem is with coupons that you got, I would suggest that you contact the corel support in your country, so that they can better explain this for you. If you're in India then you can find the contact information in your country at http://apps.corel.com/ap/india/reseller/support.htm at the lower right sidebar under Corel Contacts.

i hope my downloaded version of Paintshop Pro X3 is not deemed invalid by the Indian Corel Store since I bought it from the US Store a year back. That would be an expensive error, quite literally, on my part.
