I have VisualStudio Pro X5.
I ould like to create a DVD that will have 3 movies (Titles). I would like to a have Play All button on the menu page so that when selected the 3 movies will play in sequence without returning to the menu after playing a movie. In addition I would also be able to select each each movie individually from the menu. Control would return to the menu after playing the movie.
Is this possible with this program? Has anybody done this or is there a thread that shows how to do it?

Re: Menu Creation
Hi
Welcome to the forums……
Complete your three movies by creating separate video files.
Start a new project, nothing in the timeline.
Share create disc
On the first page add your video files, for each video file added a link will be created on the Title Menu
You can choose a variety of templates from the Gallery.
Select the Cogwheel lower left, Project Settings, the lower panel being the Navigation Controls.
Default is Auto repeat.
Continue to play next clip, choosing one of the titles will then play all titles to end of disc.
So if you chose Video 2 it will also play 3 then return to menu.
Back to Menu, will play the selected title only and return to menu allowing you to select another title.

Re: Menu Creation
Yes - what you want to do is very easy - in fact it is almost the default setting
do not put anything in the VS timeline - click on 'Share >> Create Disc >> DVD' - when the disc creation module opens import your three videos to the timeline in there using the 'add media - add media files' icon.
When all three videos are showing click 'Next' and in there choose a menu template with at least three selections on it (one of the thumbnail or text options) - down in the bottom left corner is an icon which looks like a cog wheel - click on it and in the panel which opens untick the option "auto repeat when play back ends" the drop down just under that will then become available - use it to select "back to menu" - click OK and there you are.
Use the preview button at the bottom of the disc creation module and your menu will be displayed as three selections and a single small play all button - use that screen to test the menu which should do what you want.

Re: Menu Creation
Trevor and Brian,
thanks for your responses but they will not quite do what I had in mind.
What I am looking for on the same menu page:
1- a "Play All" button that will play all the movies in sequence and then return to the main menu
2- a way to select a single movie and have it play only that movie and then return to the menu.

Re: Menu Creation
That is exactly what the method Trevor and I have given you will do - why do you think it will not
I have just quickly knocked up a menu using the method I outlined - it looks like this :-
it has three thumbnails - one for each video and a small round 'play all' button - and works exactly as you describe.
Played around with it a bit - does this clarify the outcome

Re: Menu Creation
Thanks Brian, I missed the part about the small "Play All" button.
I have got it working now.
