I've just bought a brand new HD Cam (Sony MC 2000 E) and checked working with the taped material on Corel VS X5 (demo version - if it works fine, I'll buy it
.Importing videos is only possible with "Import from digital media" (This is my translation - I use the german edition Import von digitalen Medien).
I can browse without problems to the Cam' folder (AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM). In the X5 import window I can see all my clips (e.g. 1,2,3...,8).
Problem is, that X5 only allows me to import all clips at once. Not single ones. I have to use the "Select All"-Button. Otherwise the Button stays grey.
Is this due to the fact that this is a trial version or do I have to change some settings?
