Problem playing blu-ray with Pro 11

Post by piotrkal »

Have just downloaded WINDVD Pro 11 Trial Version.
Using (brand-new) blu-ray discs I get this message: ‘Playback with current display driver is not supported. To solve this issue please update with the current driver for your hardware.’
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Perhaps I should have included in my original question that I had previously already added ALL drivers supplied in the Asus 'Driver & Utility v6.0' disc that came with the PC!
So what additional driver do I now need and where can I locate it?

The error is telling you to update your display driver - this will not have come in any pack as it could be any one of a hundred or more - you need to do it yourself - first check out the specification for your computer - note particularly the make and type of your video card - if for instance it is a Nvidia G### then go to the Nvidia website and look through their downloads for the latest driver for your Nvidia G###, download and install it.

Thank you, Brian, for the advice.

The video card is Nvidia GeForce GT 540M and the currently installed driver is 267.92. The strange thing is that it it plays audio CDs and video DVDs without any problems!

I'll now look on the Nvidia site and report back...

P.

Also, if you are using a branded computer like Dell, Sony or HP, I would suggest that you visit their support web site, since they're the one who usually release the updated drivers.
