Hello from an Arch Linux user

Post by bcelasun »

Hello all,

I have just become a registered user of AfterShot Pro.
I have been using LightZone but it is dead now :(
I liked LZ very much even from its beginning.
It got its problems, though; the most worrying was the slowness...

Anyway...

I hope Corel continues to offer this product as a sound and good alternative to the famous fat app.
I am happy that our old friend Bibble will see more support and recognition as a result of the recent arrangements.
I am also happy that Linux platform is supported. I dislike the necessity of using either a virtual machine or Wine for
a software I use everyday.

My OS is Linux. Specifically Arch Linux.
Corel does not offer packages for this particular distro.
Fortunately, I had help from my son, who has made the suitable packages for me.
He is keen to continue supporting AfterShot Pro and the (trial) package
can be downloaded from the below repository, for Arch users:

Hoping to have a nice experience with AFP!

Kind regards,

Bulent

You seem to have made an error and posted in the PaintShop Pro forum. So I am moving this to the ASP one!

A short hello from me as well!

I went to mac OSX some weeks ago, after using bibble on linux.

ASP on my hardware (a mac mini server 2011, quad core I7) is running beautifully, I can definitelly recommend it to anyone :D

I use ASP for organizing and tweaking my raw files from my canon G11 (not a very high end user).

Cheers,
Johan.

To correct the link, there allready was a maintainer for ASP which should be used.

Still Kudo's to your son for helping you out though :)
