Settings question

Post by pepegota »

Under Settings, there are two selctions: Enable 60P/50P editing and Enable 16:9. What is the function of the former? You can create a 60P without it being checked. Is it taking the place of "Project Properties?" When you select 60P 16:9 is deselected. What are they trying to do here? The 60P setting vanishes upon a reboot of the program.

Hi

Video Studio projects default to using an aspect ratio of 16:9.
Some users however still create 4:3 ratio video, by deselecting the 16:9 sets the project properties to 4:3.
The screen will display the frame as 4:3.
The easiest way to see the screen size is to change the background colour (F6 Preferences)

The default project frame rate is 29/25 fps
The option to use 60p/50p sets the projects frame rate which can be seen by viewing the digital clock.
60p/50p. The timeline now displays 60p/50p fps and displays every frame of your video.

High Definition video uses 16:9 widescreen, that option should be selected.
If the High Definition video is using 60p/50p then select that option.

Once you select 60p/50p the 16:9 selection is disabled, this stops you switching to 4:3, you wouldn’t want to do that any way, suppose that is just a safe guard.

When you reboot Video Studio and open your project then the 60p 50p option will be selected.
Maybe a shame that it doesn’t remain for a new project, but its only one click away.
